The mess in Hockey India keeps getting worse.
On Tuesday, Secretary General Bholanath Singh reiterated that the Executive Board was the only forum to resolve all governance issues and sought a meeting to resolve matters.
“For the last many days, emails from your side have raised different–different issues. It is therefore requested that all issues may be compiled and the same may be put before the Executive Board for its disposal. It is reiterated that EB is the only competent body to resolve all these issues. Therefore, please call for an Emergent Executive Board meeting at the earliest,” Bholanath wrote to HI president Dilip Tirkey.

The mail now puts the ball back in Tirkey’s court regarding the powers of the EB. This comes on a day HI Director General Cdr. RK Srivastava failed to respond to the questionnaire sent by Tirkey, seeking a detailed reply on the timeline, process and documentary evidence over the decision to change jersey colour, within the stipulated deadline.
