India squad for FIH Pro League 2025-26 Hobart leg: Full list of players; Hardik Singh named captain


Hockey India on Tuesday announced a 24-member senior Indian men’s team for the Hobart leg of the FIH Pro League 2025–26, scheduled to take place from 20th to 25th February at the Tasmania Hockey Centre in Hobart.

The upcoming leg of the tournament will feature India alongside Spain and host Australia.

Hardik Singh has been appointed as the captain of the side, replacing Harmanpreet Singh, who is out due to personal reasons.

FULL SQUAD

Goalkeepers: Suraj Karkera, Mohith Honnenahalli Shashikumar

Defenders: Amit Rohidas, Jarmanpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh, Sanjay, Sumit, Amandeep Lakra, Yashdeep Siwach, Poovanna Chandura Boby

Midfielders: Rajinder Singh, Manmeet Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Hardik Singh, Moirangthem Rabichandra Singh, Vishnu Kant Singh, Raj Kumar Pal

Forwards: Abhishek, Shilanand Lakra, Mandeep Singh, Araijeet Singh Hundal, Aditya Arjun Lalage, Angad Bir Singh, Maninder Singh

A total of seven changes have been made to the squad from the Rourkela leg, with goalkeeper Mohith HS coming in instead of Pawan, while in defence, Nilam Sanjeep Xess and Harmanpreet have been replaced by Yashdeep Siwach and Poovanna Chandura Boby.

Midfielders Nilakanta Sharma and Rosan Kujur have made way for Vishnu Kant Singh and Raj Kumar Pal, while Angad Bir Singh and Maninder Singh take the spots of Selvam Karthi and Sukhjeet in the forward line.

India will look to improve after a disastrous outing in Rourkela where it lost all four of its games.
