NEW DELHI: Veteran actor Anupam Kher had an unexpected and heartwarming brush with cricketing royalty when he accidentally walked into the wrong vanity van — only to come face to face with former India captain Rohit Sharma and his wife, Ritika Sajdeh. By mistake I was ushered into a wrong van. And who do I see? The GREATEST #RohitSharma! My favourite cricketer and his beautiful and hugely supportive wife #Ritika,” he wrote.
The actor went on to say that beyond Rohit’s on-field brilliance, it was the person behind the achievements that left a lasting impression. Kher described the cricketer as “so so REAL,” praising his lack of pretence and effortless calm. “We have a habit of giving titles to our heroes (in films and sports) and rightfully so. They deserve it. But having watched Rohit, on and off field, I can easily say that he is so so REAL! No pretence! No hunger for particular titles,” Kher noted.What stood out most, according to Kher, was Rohit’s ease and authenticity. “I like his calmness. He laughs easily!
