India will take on the Netherlands in its opening second-round match of the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen on Saturday.
The Harmanpreet Singh-led side qualified for the second stage after wins against Wales and Pakistan in the opening round which helped it finish second.
The team will face the Dutch, followed by Argentina in Pool E, in a quest to reach the semifinal. The group-stage loss to England means India will start the round with zero points, while both England Netherlands have carried over three.
