Indian men’s mouth-watering second round World Cup opener against Netherlands on Saturday will draw star attraction away from the hockey community.
Actor Abhishek Bachchan and former international cricketers Rahul Dravid and Steve Waugh will be in attendance as special guests on the invitation of FIH president Tayyab Ikram.

All three are involved in the newly launched European T20 League, which is gearing up for its first season. Bachchan is the co-founder of the league, while Dravid and Waugh are part-owners of Dublin-based The Guardians and Amsterdam Flames, respectively.
It’s a must-win game for India after finishing second in its Pool D standings. India will need to win its two second round matches to stand with a chance of a semifinal berth.
