India’s men’s hockey squad for Asian Games 2026 announced: Full list of players


Hockey India has named a 20-member Indian men’s squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, with star drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh retaining the captaincy as India begins its title defence.

India has been placed in Pool A alongside host Japan, Korea, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. The defending champion opens its campaign against Indonesia on September 20, followed by matches against Sri Lanka (September 22), Korea (September 24), Japan (September 26) and Bangladesh (September 28).

Twelve teams, divided into two pools of six, will compete for the gold medal at the Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium in Kakamigahara.
